Recycle your clothing through a street clothing bin or a local secondhand clothing store

Do some good with the clothes you’ll never wear again.  These are plenty of local non-profit organisations all over Southland that can put your clothes to immediate use.

Find a street clothing bin or Salvation Army shop in your area and donate your clothes to people who need them.

If you feel the item is just too tattered and worn (eg underwear, a holely sock) you can trash it with your normal household rubbish.

Did you know?

Research indicates that 6% of the waste sent to Southland’s regional landfill is a textile.  Textiles include clothing, fabric and carpet.
